Selections

I hate to start this way, but WTF. The Indian Cricket Team was announced on the 12th of December, the day the last test match ended between the arch rivals. Much to the dismay of the Indian fans, it ended in a draw. Then the moment which was most awaited for came, the announcement of the squad for the first test match on Boxing Day against Australia. I have to say this, I was shocked with the inclusion of Sehwag. He has been out of form since eternity. Hasn't scored runs in Ranji, neither could do much in T20. The question is, Why has he been selected in the squad? Was it money? Was it approach? or Was it that selectors have selected him on his strong record Down Under.

As far is record is concerned, he had an immaculate one against Pakistan, but wasn't selected. Much has been talked about his technique over the years and his foot movement is not so great. So why select him when his name didn't even figure out in the probables. I see no reason why the selectors have faith in him.

Dinesh Kartick was another such player who has found himself on the other side of the line. He retaining his spot in the squad as a substitute wicket keeper has surprised me. His work behind the wickets was pathetic, made a world record for the extras conceded. He has not been able to do anything with the bat apart from the 50-odd runs he scored in the second innings(lucky).

Now about the two players who haven't made the cut. Akash Chopra and Parthiv Patel.
Both of them have scored tons of runs in the Ranji Season. Chopra massed 700-odd runs in 7 innings and Patel scored 5 centuries on the trot and his glove work has been good. So why has the axe fallen on these two top performers in the domestic form of the game.

The selectors say that anyone who performs good gets a chance, the doors are open to all. Why did they shut the door on these two players? Haven't they proved their mettle in the domestic games, and they have been experienced at the international level. Both were a part of the tour to Australia in 2004.

Where will Sehwag figure in the star studded batting line up with Yuvraj in the form of his life the second time. Will Dravid open or will Yuvraj? Who will sit out?
Are the problems which now the team management has to face.

RACISM

Is India a racist country or Indians Racist, these are the questions which have been debated many a times. Calling Andrew Symonds monkey names just because of his hair style, doesnt make Indians racist. Calling a muslim a 'mulla' doesnt make anyone a racist. jesus, whats wrong with everybody. there are so many north eastern students who study in delhi, as we all know... they are generally referred to as 'chinki's'.... why? the only plausible answer to it is that they look like the Chinese. So now whats wrong in that. So now if a Delhite calls someone hailing from Lucknow a U.P ka bhaiya, he should become a racist, shouldnt he? Well he doesnt. Why cause everybody from U.P is called as a UP ka bhaiya. Its accepted. Now if this is accepted, then why is calling someone a 'mulla' or a 'chinki' not accepted. I think the whole concept of racism is politically motivated.

I am quiet sure that everyone must have heard of Russel Peters(the stand-up comedian), who is known because of his jokes on the Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Indians. No one calls him a racist, why, just because he doesnt do his stunt in India, or Britain. (You have to see him perform)

well the point is that in India, everything is politically motivated. Be it racism or cricket.

HOPE

"Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of all. And no good thing ever dies". This is the famous line said by TIM ROBBINS(SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION). The movie was a complete joy ride(not in the masala way). I have seen the movies about five times, topping the list of my favorite movies. The script was totally awesome ,flawless and gripping. The story of a man who was wrongly convicted of murdering his wife who was promiscuous.His ordeal in the prison with 'Red'(Morgan Freeman) and a man whose life was prison as he was there for the past 50 years. His determination to improve the prison library, wrote a letter a month for two years for the delivery of old books. His courage and most importantly his big heart were the hidden attraction of the movie. His escape was the most intriguing part of the whole movie. One can never get bored in this two hour(approx.) joyride.

Isnt hope a good thing.....

EXAMS

As if i care... anyways,.. thats besides the point... ALIVE... its a curse.. i know it sure is... hooked on to it completely... 'do u even know what i am talking abt'.... anyways... who cares... ipod... its a lovely tool which makes u think twice.... do u want to study or not.... does that mean i live my life in accordance with it... even if i do... who the fuck cares... my right hand is ambidextrous.... shit... was that funny... and whats with the 'F' word... who knows... i read an article the other day... about the 'F' word... dunno how many of u did.. but i quiet liked it... there is this movie coming on ZEE STUDIOS today... TRAFFIC.... i have been told that its a fantaastic movie... considering the fact that i dont have much of studies left(dont get scared.. i aint topping) i can manage to watch it... ate some lovely biryani today.... about two days ago... i was lying on my bed... it was somewhere around 0300... suddenly i got up... my net was on(as usual)... i searched a song(torn between two lovers)... didnt find it... found the video though... wanted the song... so installed ares... searched... downloaded... saved it on to my ipod... and slept at 0400... people can sure be weired sometimes... ok the date sheet, i sometimes think sucks, i wanted to be in hyderabhad on 31st night... shit... fuck...havent partied on new years eve since the past two years... WHAT THE FUCK....

i ate so much that i cant even fucking stand or sit.wtf. exams are on the horizon and i cant download movies. cant see doogie howser cause it doesnt come on tv anymore... wtf. i know, i know... well at every moment of ur life.. every twist and every turn.. there are only three words which one would like to say...WHAT THE FUCK. someone told me that i fuck is a fuck till u fuck up... i quiet agree... well lately my room experienced some newly wed action... fuck i hate people... dont get the wrong idea... yeah shit happens... f1 is over... shit... wtf... there u go.. i told u... did any of u know that macchar is the most active at 14 C.... i guess i need to fix me up.. and not shoot em up... bbye
